My relaxation book of the month for June 2007 is The Conjurer's Bird: a Novel by Martin Davies. Half of the story is set around 1774 and the other half in current days, both in England. The main character, John Fitzgerald, has a passion for learning more about extinct birds such as the Bird of Ulieta. As the current story characters start looking for the Bird of Ulieta, Martin Davies' romanticized version of what could have happened to Joseph Banks, a famous member of Captain Cook's expeditions, and the mysterious Bird of Ulieta. |
My non-fiction relaxation book of the month for June 2007 is Weekend Millionaire Mindset : How Ordinary People Can Achieve Extraordinary Success by Mike Summey and Richard Dawson. The authors are famous for a previous book they wrote, The Weekend Millionaire's Secrets to Investing in Real Estate : How to Become Wealthy in Your Spare Time. The book that I am recommending here is sort of a prelude to the famous book and it makes sense to start with this one. It will give you a new perspective on how to deal with money. You may or may not have heard the various teaching points presented in the book, but the way in which the authors explain each point and give precise example of what they did will open your eyes. I particularly liked the example of one of the authors saving money to buy a bicycle as a kid. He learned many lessons (life lessons and financial lessons) and he uses them to grow financially throughout his life. |
I have started following their recommendations a couple months ago and I can already see the benefits.
Best financial book I've ever read.
