My relaxation book of the month for August 2007 is Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (Book 7) by J.K. Rowling. I'm not going to say anything that will spoil your reading experience, so don't worry. What could I say more that this is the last of the seven Harry Potter books? If you have read the previous six, you owe it to yourself to finish the series, and if you haven't read the previous six, well here's your chance: Harry Potter Children's Boxed Set: Paperback editions 1-6Harry Potter, Books 1-6, British Adult Editions |
My non-fiction relaxation book of the month for August 2007 is Its Not About The Bike by Lance Armstrong and Sally Jenkins. I have to admit. I didn't watch the Tour the France when he won and so I didn't know much about Lance Armstrong other than the fact that he had beat cancer. I was watching You, Me and Dupree (Widescreen Edition) and the characters made reference to how good this book was, so I decided to get it. I have to say that I do not personally know anyone currently struggling with cancer and chemo but this book opened my eyes. It is well-written in an easy, casual way, as if Lance was telling us his story over a cup of coffee. |
Lots of happy and sad moments and I hope it gives you another perspective on life like it did for me. Strongly recommend this wonderful book about life... and cycling.
