Relaxation at Home
Book of the Month
May 2007

Here are my May 2007 picks for Relaxation at Home Book of the Month. Why don't you go ahead and sit down with these great reading selections. You could learn to improve your astral travel skills or experience the emotional roller-coaster of the loss of a loved one and the quest to understand their life. If you disagree with my selections or want to add your comments, feel free to use the form provided at the bottom of this page. I will personally review your comments and include them on this page for others to see.

Fiction Relaxation at Home Book of the Month

My pick for the Relaxation at Home Book of the Month for May 2007 is The Pilot's Wife : Oprah's Book Club by Anita Shreve. Warning: This is a psychological drama. If you're looking for action (like I was) you'll end up skipping most of the book... So sit back, expect to be put in a recently widowed woman's head and let the feelings go through you. Oprah recommended it, all my friends did and here I am, recommending it too. I have to be honest and say that I personally didn't enjoy it as much as the typical fiction books I read. I'm a fan of action, not feelings or words, but this book is worth a read, if only for the twist at the end.

Non-Fiction Relaxation at Home Book of the Month

My non-fiction pick for Relaxation at Home Book of the Month for May 2007 is Astral Travel For Beginners : Transcend Time and Space with Out-of-Body Experiences by Richard Webster. Mr. Webster starts by giving you an overview and definitions associated with astral travel (or astral projection or OBE). If you're anything like me, you'll likely "cheat" and start at Chapter 6: Your first astral travel. To be honest, the first time I read this book (9 years ago...) I couldn't resist, I just wanted to learn to do it... I learned from my mistakes, so I offer you advice. Take it or leave it, but I strongly recommend that you read this book from the front cover to the back cover, then go back and go through all the exercises from the easiest ones to the harder ones. The key to astral travel is definitely practice, practice, practice, and when you think you've had enough, practice.
