While instant astral projection is not something that happens frequently for most people, it does occur from time to time. It can happen as a result of a traumatic, life-endangering event or as a result of years of dedicated astral projection experience. Out of Body Experiences (OBEs or sometimes OOBEs) are a type of instant astral projection experiences. OBEs normally refer to traumatic cases where someone clinically died for a few moments and floated above their body for a few minutes before being brought back to life and re-entering his/her body. |
Several of these documented cases occurred in a hospital setting but others were reported at the scenes of accidents.
The other type of instant astral projection is the more pleasant experience felt by astral travellers who have mastered their astral projection skills and can pretty much project any time and any place.
If you want to achieve this type of astral projection, you will need to keep practicing. Start by mastering the astral projection preparation steps, then pick places that you have already visited in order to ease the visualization process. As you become more and more experienced, you'll be able to astral travel anywhere.
One of the easiest way to leave your physical body is through meditation. Tell yourself that you will astral travel and that you will remember all the details. Repeat it to yourself like a mantra. Think of the purpose of each particular projection. Maybe you want to improve your life, enhance your potential, etc.
As you approach the point of detachment, you will feel one or more of the following sensations:
It's important to not focus on what you are feeling but to keep focusing on your breathing and your goal of astral projection. Allow your conscience to escape your physical body.
You will likely leave your body out of the top of your head through the area between the eyes, the glabella. You might see or fell a long, seemingly infinite, elastic chain that connects your astral body to your physical body. This link is only visible to you.
You will likely float above your physical body just before moving away and just before returning.
If you return to your physical body too fast, you will feel jolted. You might black out for a second when you leave or return to your body.
Remember to keep practicing if you want to experience instant astral projection. While you're out, go ahead and explore the astral realms. You will not be able to interact much with your surroundings. For example, you will not be able to communicate with people on the "real plane" while you are on the "astral plane".
But sometimes, you may be able to read the page of a book lying open and perhaps turn the page, but this requires a lot of effort and practice. Very few astral travellers can do this.
