Good Books to Read

My fiction relaxation book of the month for July 2009 is Sailing To Capri: A Novel by Elizabeth Adler.

This mystery is about Sir Robert Hardwick, a multi-millionaire who recently died in a car accident. His personal assistant, Daisy Keane, is the main character in the novel. After attending Bob's funeral, she meets a private investigator, Harry Montana, who reveals to her that Bob was likely murdered.

The plot includes some romance sub-plots between Montana and the assistant and quite a selection of possible murderers. To discover who did it, Bob had requested, as his final wish, to host a cruise with all the suspects and a few red herrings.

The characters are easy to love or hate, and Elizabeth Adler etches a beautiful story in the reader's mind.

The book made me want to go on a cruise...

My non-fiction relaxation book of the month for July 2009 is How To Make Millions With Your Ideas, an entrepreneur's guide, by Dan S. Kennedy.

I chose this book based on a recommendation from Amazon (based on my previous book choices.

I have to be upfront with you and tell you that the book is dated (published in 1996) but most of the concepts discussed in the book are still applicable today.

This book is aimed at entrepreneurs who want to get rich with their ideas. It provides hundreds of examples to illustrate the author's points and I'm sure you'll find something for your business (existing or future).
