Free Pilates Online: Leg Exercises

These free Pilates online exercises are great for those looking to tone their legs and improve the overall leg muscles. Follow the free pilates illustrations and read the instructions below each Pilates exercise picture.

1. Lie on your side and keep your hips stacked up in perfect line.

2. Angle both your legs so that your feet are a little forward, but your legs must remain straight. You body should look like a slightly bent pipe.

3. Raise the upper leg by about 45 cm (1 1/2 foot) without unstacking your hips.

4. Rotate your leg clockwise, slowly, as if you were tracing the circumference of a large beach ball with your toes.

5. Make 5 rotations then switch direction.

Note: When you are done all 3 leg exercises shown on this page, switch over to the other side and repeat.

1. Lie on your side and keep your hips stacked up one on top of the other.

2. Angle both your legs so that your feet are a little forward, but your legs must remain straight. You body should look like a slightly bent pipe.

3. Raise the upper leg by about 12 cm (6 inches) without unstacking your hips.

4. Rotate your leg clockwise, slowly, as if you were tracing the circumference of a honey melon with your toes.

5. Make 5 rotations then switch direction.

1. Lie on your side and bring your knees forward with your legs together.

2. Keep your hips stacked up in perfect line.

3. Keeping your feet in contact, lift the upper knee.

4. Bring the knee back down and repeat 9 other times.
