My free book review for this book includes a zombie anthology by many authors including Stephen King and a best-seller that teaches people how to win contests.
Here are my two book recommendations for May 2009 from Relaxation at Home. You can read these fiction and non-fiction books and tell me what you think. You can use the book review form at the bottom of this page and I will include your comments as soon as I can.
My fiction relaxation book of the month for May 2009 is The Living Dead by various authors. Welcome to the world of the living dead or zombies. This book is an anthology by authors such as Stephen King, Clive Barker, Laurell K. Hamilton, Dan Simmons, Neil Gaiman, Joe R. Lansdale, Norman Partidge, Poppy Z. Brite and Douglas E. Winter. Most of the stories have been written in the last decade but some were created around 30 years ago, so the approaches to each story are different and refreshing. I can't really provide a free book review for each story without spoiling the surprise, so here is a quick list of the stories included in this anthology: |
My non-fiction relaxation book of the month for May 2009 is Contesting: The Name It and Claim It Game : Wineuvers for Wishcraft by Helen Hadsell, the woman who wins every contest she enters. In keeping with the positive approach that one should take towards life and getting everything one wants, I chose to recommend Helen's book and DVD system because it is simple and to the point. Her special technique has 4 steps called SPEC: Selecting, Projecting, Expecting and Claiming. Helen explains each step thoroughly and gives example of how she won everything she ever wanted. At 80 something, Helen truly is an impressive soul who has a lot to share with the world. The price tag may seem tremendously high for some, but I believe that the secrets she divulges in her book and DVDs are worth it. Make sure to verify that the seller is also selling you the DVDs. |
