Fengshui Decor

Do you feel like your home is taking energy away from you? Your Fengshui decor may be the one to blame... Fengshui, also spelled as two words (Feng Shui), can affect the flow of energy (or chi ) in your house.

This is why choosing the right shapes and colours - or colors if you are American - will affect your life. A water fountain can do wonders in improving your feng shui decor. Not only is the sound of water soothing, but the presence of moving water increases the flow of chi. As such, you shouldn't place a water fountain in your bedroom. A living room where you entertain would be a lot better choice. If you want to learn more about which elements you should add in your home decor, make sure to read the various links provided here and shop at the store that advertises at the bottom of this page. They have high end products that will improve your decor. If you still have questions, don't be afraid to click on the Contact Me button on the left navigation bar. I'll do my best to provide you with a fast answer to your specific concerns/questions.

Shapes and Colours

Generally speaking, choosing the right colours and shapes is a question of personal taste. However, you should also read up more on the effects of Colors Feng Shui here. Have you ever experienced a different feeling simply by walking into another room in your home? Your fengshui decor or aromatherapy may be the reason why.

The placement of furniture and mirrors significantly affect the flow of energy. You want the energy flow to slow down in areas where you want to relax (bedroom, perhaps your living room) but you don't want it to become stagnant. Adding a living element to your fengshui decor such as a plant or pets will give a little boost to your chi while adding large pieces of furniture slows down the flow of energy.

Stunning Outdoor Fountains

There is also the hierarchy of the five elements to consider. Wood, water, earth, fire and metal are present throughout your fengshui decor. They can be represented by the element from which they are made or the shape of the objects. Like the elements themselves don't react well with each other (i.e., water extinguishes fire), the same holds true for the components and furniture in your home.

Personality

To top things off, your personality will also affect your feng shui ... Perhaps this explains why your favourite room is different from your partner's favourite room... Find out if you are yin or yang right here.
