Relaxation-at-Home #51 - Enjoy a worry-free holiday season
December 13, 2011

Less than 2 weeks to go before Christmas! The holidays are a great opportunity to spend time with those we love but they are also a VERY stressful time of year.

Here are a few tips to help you navigate through the holidays with a smile on your face and fewer worries on your mind!

Enjoy a Worry-Free Holiday Season

In a few days, we'll all be busy preparing delicious meals and entertaining friends and family, but no matter how hard we try, there always seems to be someone who has something to complain about.

If it happens to you, here is a worry-free solution:
Smile, nod and compliment the person on an unrelated matter.

For example, someone comes to me and says, "Caroline, your gravy is lumpy. Don't you know how to prepare gravy correctly?"

I look that person in the eyes, smile, then say, "Lucy, did I mention how lovely your shirt is? Where did you get it?"

The negative remark is now off the table and the negative person is glad to have an opportunity to be talking about herself (instead of my lumpy gravy). All is good: no feelings were hurt and confrontations were avoided.

My 2011 Website Status Update

I've posted my 2011 update on how I use this website (and two others) to make money. See here:

If you're interested in giving it a try, the annual Buy one, Get one free promotion is available right now and will expire on December 25. Don't miss out! I highly recommend it. That's how I got started back in 2006 and I don't regret a single moment of it!
