Relaxation-at-Home newsletter, Issue #013 -- Iced Rooibos Tea
June 02, 2008
Hi

Along with longer days comes appreciation for cool and refreshing drinks. There are many options out there but very few are calorie (and guilt) free. I'll mention one recipe that is not only good for your waist line but also great for your overall health.

This newsletter will also glance at the latest additions to the Relaxation at Home website and give you more information on the upcoming pages.

Herbal Tea

Enjoying a cup of tea is one of the greatest pleasures of my life. During winter months, I opt for warm black, oolong or green teas. However, summer months make me crave iced tea. You can pretty much use whatever flavour of tea to create iced tea and most will taste great, especially if sweetened with a little sugar or honey. Here is one that tastes sweet without any additional sweetener:

Rooibos Tea

To make rooibos iced tea, simply bring 4 liters (1 gallon) of water to a boil. Add 10 teabags or the equivalent in loose rooibos (50 ml or 10 teaspooons) and steep for about 20 to 30 minutes. Refrigerate and serve as is. You can also add lemon or mint if you wish.

Games

If you're looking for a quick way to relax at home while working on the computer, try this fun game. It's a game very similar to Guitar Hero, where you use keys instead of the guitar, but the goal is still to hit the notes on time. Great fun and three levels of difficulty to choose from:

Upcoming Pages

I will be adding several pages to various areas of the site as time permits. I expect to add a few more pages to my home spa section as well as sleep and insomnia section.

That's it for this month.

Relax and enjoy!
