I hope that the global recession hasn't affected you too much. As Dr. Joe Vitale and the law of attraction would tell you, you need to focus on the positive as your thoughts always turn into reality. There is always something to be grateful about: fresh air, sunshine, white snow, friends, family, a roof over your head, the smile of a child, etc.

To help you relax at home, I thought I would give you some tips on sleeping better as well as a quick rundown on Emotional Freedom Technique or EFT.

Sleep and Insomnia

Before you resort to taking addictive sleep medication, you may want to try the following tips:

  • Only use your bedroom for sleeping or spending 'quality time with your partner.'

  • Try to remove as many electrical appliances from your bedroom as you can. Electrical appliances release some energy fields and light that can keep you up at night. If you must keep some in your bedroom, cover them, or turn your alarm clock so that it faces the wall.

  • Keep your bedroom a little cool, especially at night. It will tell your brain that it's time to sleep.

Emotional Freedom Technique

Emotional Freedom Technique or EFT was made popular by Gary Craig, but the basic principles behind it have been around for centuries. For example, EFT makes use of the energy meridians that are used in acupuncture. However, with EFT, there is no needles and you can do it by yourself.

What can EFT do for you? According to Mr. Craig, it can cure all sorts of psychological and physical ailments: depression, weight gain, addictions, asthma, eczema, etc.

Basically, EFT involves 'tapping' on key points, which releases energy knots and allow your energy to circulate properly again. To find out more about how EFT can help you, visit EFT: Emotional Freedom Technique.
