Relaxation-at-Home newsletter, Issue #018 -- Relaxation Activities
October 31, 2008
When our lives get busy, they normally get even more stressful. With the holiday season just around the corner, do you have enough relaxation activities on your calendar?
Another useful relaxation technique is to listen to music. If you're stressing out over company coming over to dinner, listen to some music while cleaning the house, cooking or even while getting dressed.
Music can improve your mood, improve your immune system, reduce your anxiety levels and reduce pain. Seems too good to be true? Learn more about the relaxing effects of music here:
There are many other simple and cheap relaxation ideas out there for you to discover. You can even rent a sad movie and cry your eyes out! Letting go and crying is another way to release accumulated tension. To read more tips and ideas on how to relax at home, visit these two pages:

Eating and preparing comfort food can also be a great way to relax. This is particularly true if you are taking care of some 7-year old kids who have too much energy. Simply gather up the ingredients and let them explore the world of culinary delights by baking delicious chocolate chip cookies together. You can use this delicious recipe here:
Perhaps it's time to discover one of the best relaxation herbs: jasmine. Its aroma is considered to be very precious as it takes an enormous number of flowers to create just one gram of essential oil. That being said, it's well worth it as jasmine can uplift your mood, help you relax, improve your self-confidence and more. To learn more about the benefits of jasmine and how to use it, visit:
And don't forget to check out my my two book of the month recommendations (one fiction and one non-fiction) right here:
