I won't take much of your time as I'm sure you're busy with dinner preparation, gift wrapping and all sorts of holiday activities, but here are a few last-minute tips to help you deal with the holiday stress.
The Perfect Family Doesn't Exist
While it's nice to dream about everyone being on their best behavior during the holidays, it simply doesn't happen.
If Aunt Patty complains about your food being dry or if Cousin Bob disapproves of your gift... smile, nod and move on. There are many other people you can talk to and worrying about other people's problems won't make you feel better.
Ask your family to help and take breaks when you need them. Christmas will get here, no matter if you're ready or not. Make the most out of the holidays: spend time with those you love, not your appliances in the kitchen.
Book of the Month
Don't forget to check out my my two book of the month recommendations. This month, I recommend a romantic novel set in Antartica and 1001 ways to be romantic... Could this be the perfect gift for your partner?
