Relaxation-at-Home newsletter, Issue #039 -- Daily Relaxation Routine Ideas
December 01, 2010
Hi

December is here already! Cold weather and beautiful snow. For some people, shorter days and hazardous driving conditions create more stress or can even cause Seasonal Affective Disorder as they stay inside. If you've already had enough of the white stuff, here is a contest that will allow you to win a trip at a Sandals or Beaches resort.

Win a 7 day, 6 night luxury vacation at a Sandals or Beaches Resort of your choice (no purchase necessary) !

Relaxation Ideas

Your holiday preparations are probably taking a lot of your time right now but are you spending at least 5 minutes on relaxation everyday? There are many ways to do it and setting a daily routine is very effective.

Here are a few ideas:

1. Enjoy a cup of herbal tea in the middle of the afternoon. Make sure to pick a variety of flavors that appeal to you. With every sip, think of all the positive things that surround you. It could be something you finally crossed off your to-do list, the gorgeous weather, your loving family, your health, etc. By being grateful and taking five minutes to focus on the positive aspects of your live, you can reduce your stress levels.

Would someone you know enjoy this relaxation idea? Here are some great gifts for lovers of tea with free wrapping of all items.

2. Create a bedtime routine. Some people like to get dressed in their pyjamas an hour before bedtime. They use it as a reminder that their body is now getting ready to go to bed, and as such, they should avoid watching TV, looking at a computer screen or otherwise get their senses excited. Great activities to enjoy during this time would be reading a book, enjoying a cup of herbal tea, talking to your family, meditate or do some light stretching.

Do you need new pyjamas or slippers? Why not get a new Flannel PJ Set

3. Treat yourself to a luxuous bath experience. You've probably heard of Lush Bath Bombs. They do wonder for the body and mind.
