Relaxation-at-Home Newsletter #048 - 10 Stress Management Tips You Don't Want to Miss! September 15, 2011 |
It's hard to believe that fall will officially start next week, isn't it? I personally enjoy autumn weather. It goes hand in hand with two of my favorite relaxation activities: going for scenic walks in the park and drinking a hot cup of tea on the patio while watching the cool sun rise in the morning sky (with a warm sweater of course!) I know these activities are not necessarily everyone's favorite, so I've compiled a list of 10 stress management and relaxation activities that can help you get rid of some undue stress at home. Feeling like you could get rid of some stress? I DARE you to read this page and try 2 of these tips and see if you can notice a difference after 21 days. I'd love to hear back from you! Share your experience with other relaxation-at-home.com readers by filling out the form at the bottom of the page.
Aromatherapy TipWith shorter fall days comes the start of Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) symptoms. Isn't this acronym perfect to describe how you feel when you're not exposed to as much sunshine? Thankfully, you can do a few things to prevent or minimize SAD symptoms. If you have a larger budget, you could purchase a special light like the NatureBright SunTouch Plus Light and Ion Therapy Lamp but most of us may be looking for less expensive solutions. Aromatherapy essential oils can help reduce SAD symptoms! For example, jasmine, bergamot and ylang ylang are some examples of oils that can ease depression. Click on the previous links to learn more about each oil and how to use them. Meditation TipDo you ever feel like your self-esteem could use a boost? Try this meditation technique that also serves as a self-improvement tool.
